Objective

The slide-board knee tuck push-up is a compound exercise that targets balance and stability and is excellent to develop core and upper body strength.

The knee tuck push-up can also be performed with the TRX or stability ball, adding instability and placing a higher demand on the core.

Variations

  • Slide-board pike push-up

    As an advanced progression perform the exercise with the legs straight and pull your body into a pike position. The slide-board pike push-up is a very challenging exercise that emphasizes the core and abs even more. 
     
    To put more variety to your workout you can combine the knee tuck and pike push-up, alternating each repetition.
